What is the Festival of Arts?
The juried fine art show is held outdoors on the scenic shores of Lake Superior in Downtown Bayfield.

Visitors are encouraged to explore all Bayfield and the Apostle Islands has to offer! Bayfield Festival of Arts isn’t the only art event going on this weekend… follow Scenic Highway 13 along the South Shore to the charming fishing village of Cornucopia–for 16 years, the Cornucopia Art Crawl features local artisans, music, and food. What kinds of things are you able to buy?
This is a fine arts show, with only the highest-quality vendors accepted. Visitors will find a unique selection of pottery, painting, jewelry, sculpture, glass works, wood carvings, photography and more. Take special notice of the blue “Best in Show” ribbons, which are awarded to artists in five categories, while browsing.
Does it cost anything to get in?
There is no cost to attend the Festival of Arts.
Do I need cash?
Yes! Most of our vendors prefer cash. Some of our vendors will accept checks or credit cards, and there are ATMs available in Bayfield.
Is there food there?
For the 2022 tour, there will be no food vendors. We encourage you to visit one of the many fabulous Bayfield restaurants–there are many options within walking distance. Check out the dining options by CLICKING HERE!
Is this event fit for kids?
YES! New for 2022, kids will be able to explore their artistic side and create their own works of art at two booths. Stay tuned for more information.
