Grab a blanket or lawn chair and take in the rhythms of Bayfield every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the summer. Concerts by the Lake music series runs June 18 - August 29, 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Memorial Park in Bayfield.
Nothing beats listening to music on a warm summer night with Lake Superior as the backdrop. Order some food from one of the local restaurants and eat it at the park, grab an ice cream cone, or make your own picnic basket of snacks to enjoy while you listen to the music. The Deck at the Bayfield Inn or Pier Plaza's deck are both great spots to enjoy the music while you dine.
Concerts by the Lake would not be possible without our sponsors. The Bayfield Inn generously sponsors concerts every Thursday night, and Bayfield Chamber members sponsor Tuesdays.
Sean and Ian Okamoto (pictured above) will kick off the 2024 Concerts by the Lake season on June 18 at 7:00 p.m. The father-son duo is a popular act performing around Northwest Wisconsin. Sean and Ian recently had the opportunity to audition for American Idol! The Bayfield Chamber is excited to have this talented duo start the concerts.
Other Bayfield favorites will include Danielle Diamond, Yazmin Bowers, Sasha Mercedes, and Molly Otis and the Danger Band (pictured below).
Mark your calendars for Thursday, July 4th, for a robust afternoon of music starting at 1:00 p.m. End the night with a bang and see the sky light up with fireworks over Lake Superior.
Don't miss Old Country Brothers on July 11 for their quick wit and hard-drivin' country hits.
On July 30, Michael Shynes will take the gazebo stage. Shynes has worked to become one of the most sought-after performers in the Midwest, recently selling out his first theater shows. With a range and falsetto that is nothing short of captivating, his acoustic finger-picking style acts as the perfect bed of warmth on which his soulful lyrics can rest.
On August 15, get ready for Triple Fiddle. This fiddle-forward trio presents soaring arrangements of originals and covers from honky tonk, swing, folk, and roots music traditions.
The series wraps up on August 29, with Rucksack Revolution (pictured above) featuring Sarah Vos of Dead Horses and Adam Greuel of Horseshoes & Hand Grenades. The duo’s chemistry as musical partners and dear friends is apparent as their music features tight harmonies, introspective lyricism, and soaring melodies.
