A once in a lifetime adventure
Experience the Midwest's largest
Sled Dog Race as a volunteer
It's an action packed weekend February 1, 2 & 3, 2008 and one you will never forget!
The Apostle Islands Sled Dog Race, Bayfield Wisconsin, invites you to experience the Midwest's largest and most exciting sled dog race as a participating volunteer. Over 100 sled dog teams come to Bayfield to compete in this top sled dog event. You can pick your spot as a volunteer - handle dogs by helping mushers hook up their teams or help bring teams up to the starting chute. Or if you choose, assist at "check points" communicating via radio on teams' progress, guide teams to stay on the trail or help enter times.
Select a wonderful vacation package that combines the excitement of the sled dogs and the competitiveness of the mushers with evenings filled with restful nights, magical snowfalls and night skies, and warm firesides.
